About Kassondra Wilson, LMHC

Counseling for People in the LGBTQ+ Community Online Across Washington!

Hi, I’m Kassondra Wilson. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH 60799075) who works with people in the LGBTQ+ community who have been struggling to find the words to express how they feel. My goal is to help you stop discomfort, embarrassment, and fear and start helping you make progress towards your goals.

My Journey To Becoming A Counselor

My own growth through personal life struggles is what helps me relate so deeply with clients.

As a queer person, trauma survivor, and person in recovery — I have fallen into many times of deep depression and despair; as well as, experienced profound worry about the future. Mental health counseling has provided me the tools, love, and support to live as a vibrant human. Counseling has been, my life ring in a sea of shit.

My life experiences are what lead me to become the counselor I am today.

Helping People Is What I Look Forward To Every Day

Being a counselor is an honor. I love guiding people towards figuring stuff out and seeing them finally getting the life they desire. The most rewarding thing about being a counselor is inspiring others to be all they can be.

I am committed to helping you make progress towards your goals.

I Have Empathy For Others And Bring Non-judgmental Acceptance To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

Help people identify what they are feeling.

Sense what other people may be thinking and feeling.

Be flexible on the path of discovering what’s going on.

Help clients heal their past and manage the present.

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can be fully present for people’s stories, even if they are difficult stories.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to be yourself. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to figure things out about yourself and be understood and heard.

It’s important to me to create safety within session and ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to counseling. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Counselor, I Embrace The Following Philosophies

I believe that you deserve to feel better.

I believe that you are worthy of love and care.

I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole – their mind, body, and spirit.

I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do.

My Professional Background

I received my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art, Psychology, and Mathematics from The Evergreen State College in Washington State and went on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University of Seattle. I completed a nine-month practicum at Antioch University of Seattle Behavioral Health Clinic and a one-year internship at Seattle Counseling Service in Seattle, Washington.

I went on to work as a Case Manager, Therapist, and Intake Specialist at Seattle Counseling Service for several years. Later in my career, I co-developed a behavioral health rapid stabilization program at Providence Regional Medical Center. I have also held positions as a Mental Health Specialist, Trauma Therapist, and Mental Health Consultant at Providence Regional Medical Center.
